Obsessive Compulsive disorder
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder also known as OCD is a type of anxiety disorder. People with OCD
become worried that something could be harmful, dangerous, wrong, or dirty or have thoughts
that bad stuff could happen and they can’t stop thinking out it.
When people can’t stop thinking about upsetting or scary thoughts or images this is called
obsessions. With OCD, people might worry about things not being "the right way" or "perfect."
People might also worry about losing things which makes them want to collect things.
Some people with OCD feel strong urges to do certain things repeatedly — called rituals or
compulsions. They perform these rituals or compulsions to try and stop the scary thoughts, erase
the images or to make things safe, clean or right.
